The Family

Podere Terreno is a rural house of XVth Century - it was inscribed in the "Republican Housing List" of Florence of 1427.

A recent research in the Ospedale degli Innocenti Archives has brought to light various documents, among which some working farmers contracts dated Aprile 16 1465 "a farm with house for workers in Volpaia - people of San Lorenzo called terreno".

Enclosed in a property of 52 Hectars, this charming house offers guests the magic of Tuscany with somethingmore - something unforgettable which remains in the memorias of  friendship that takes place with our guests.

It is impossible to remain unafected from the warm hospitality, which will bring plaessant surprises during your stay in the heart of Chianti Classico region.

The house still maintains the old cottotiles floor and one can still admire the ancient oak and chestnuts beams on the ceiling.

Guests stay in a few rooms - doubles and singles - all with their own small bathrooms, with 1940/1960 furnitures.This is a perfect start for rewording hikes or bike rides. In two pounds, fed by spring, can admire carps, black bass, trouts and frogs.
