Ricchezza di scheletro<\/dt>\n\t
La ricchezza di scheletro e la buona dotazione di argilla rappresentano un equilibrio ideale tra capacit\u00e0 di drenaggio e ritenzione idrica e insieme alla sostanza organica influenzano il comportamento chimico fisico e termico del suolo : i terreni pi\u00f9 scuri (galestro) si scaldano prima e di pi\u00f9 indipendentemente da fattori orografici.<\/dd>\n\t

Sands and pebbles <\/p>\n\t\t

In the valley and lower areas there are alluvial soils of a more recent geological period and are mainly composed of Pliocene sands and silt. The physical structure of these soils is typically loose with pebbles on the surface. Dark rocks <\/p>\n\t\t

In the vineyards on the slopes there is Galestro, a shale resulting from clays: in winter it shows a leathery appearance but in summer, when it loses moisture, it flakes off and becomes friable. White rocks <\/p>\n\t\t

In the higher sites of the vineyards there are soils with a lighter color derived from the alteration of sedimentary rocks that form the Alberese.
